Coulter Discs

Manutec has a large range of 18″ and 20″ Double Bevel Coulter Discs Available with HT centres.  Manutec can also source discs  with other centre patterns and shapes if required.

Plain (18″ and 20″) – A plain flat disc, designed for minimum soil disturbance.  Also perform well in heavier clay soils.  May stall in lighter soils unless run on an angle. Cut width 4-5mm

Fluted – (18″ and 20″)A disc with a fine band of ripples around the outer edge similar to a crinkle cut.  A fluted disc will maintain good levels of speed in the ground.  Has a degree of self sharpening capability.  Low to medium level of soil disturbance. Cut width 10mm.

Wavey (18″ Only)- A disc with a series of sinusoidal waves that travel radially out from the centre of the disc.  Manutec has 8 Wave, 13 Wave and 22 Wave discs. There is also non-radial wavey disc. The lower the number of waves the lower the soil disturbance, the cutting width varies with the number of waves.

X-Wave (18″ Only)- This is a new style of disc specifically designed for maximum speed through the ground and maximum cutting power. Unlike conventional discs the disc surface affectively has two waves which join so as to both give maximum disc acceleration and also maximum cutting power.  The cutting width is 10mm and soil disturbance can be medium to high.
